SPP – Future Core

The leading occupational pension company SPP Pension & Försäkring AB recognized back in 2016 that its strategic growth plan required becoming a digital front-runner in the pension and life insurance industry. To achieve this goal and provide customers with intuitive online journeys, SPP decided to build a future-proven core platform. This platform would serve as the foundation for new digital capabilities and enable new business opportunities. SPP partnered with Lumera and chose Lumera as its core system for the journey. Thanks to a close and long-term collaboration, with highly qualified team members from both SPP and Lumera, that have remained structured and patient throughout the years, SPP has now transformed its business. Today, over 80 percent of their customers choose to use digital services. Furthermore, SPP has won awards for “Digital Project of the Year” and has migrated approximately one million policies. They have also carried out several portfolio transfers, such as Brummer Life. Future Core has been an ambitious and highly complex project that has allowed SPP to reach a new level. Thanks to its new scalable operational platform – enabling intuitive digital interactions with customers and partners – SPP is now recognized as a digital pioneer and one of the leading digital insurers in Sweden.
