We are excited to announce that Lumera has been shortlisted for the Pensions Technology Firm of the Year at the Pensions Age Awards 2026 — a recognition that reflects the impact of a transformative year for modern pension administration in the UK.
Pensions Technology Firm of the Year – Delivering TLWPT’s new administration platform
Lumera was selected to deliver a fully operational pension administration platform to The Lewis Workplace Pensions Trust (TLWPT) as the Trust moved from outsourced administration to managing operations internally for the first time. The project required:
- Full system migration from legacy technology
- Complete transformation of administrative processes
- Platform scalability supporting long-term growth
With a fixed go-live date of 1 October 2025, the delivery window was nine months. The project was completed on time, to scope and on budget.
A standardised, scalable platform
The Lumera platform supports core pension lifecycle functions, including contribution processing, scheme accounting, fund trading automation, pension disbursements and workflow management. TLWPT benefits from a standardised solution that meets scheme-specific needs without custom development, supported by an API-first architecture enabling seamless integration. This sets a new benchmark for administration transformation and demonstrates controlled, scalable, future-ready change.
Strengthening UK capabilities
The delivery draws on Lumera’s experience supporting 20 million records and completing 200 successful migrations across Europe, combined with ITM’s established UK presence following Lumera’s 2024 expansion. Beyond technology, Lumera continues to help clients migrate, understand and improve their data.
A joint achievement
For TLWPT, the new platform removes technical debt, strengthens data governance and compliance, and enhances the experience for both members and employers. For Lumera, it marks the first UK deployment of the platform and provides a strong foundation for future clients.
