Lumera is happy to announce that Länsförsäkringar Fondliv is the winner of the Lumera Trophy of the Year 2025 with the project New occupational pension offering in group scheme – LF-Plan.
LF-Plan represents an important milestone in Länsförsäkringar Fondliv’s ongoing transformation journey towards a more flexible and efficient operating model. The project has enabled the launch of a modern occupational pension offering based on Lumera’s group scheme framework, supporting improved customer interactions, increased automation, and new digital ways of working.
Delivered according to an ambitious timeline, the project successfully achieved sales launch in June 2025 and rollout across eight regional companies by the end of the year. By combining strong execution with a clear business focus, LF-Plan has created a foundation for continued growth and the future development of LF’s occupational pension business.
Motivation of the jury
Länsförsäkringar Fondliv is awarded the Lumera Trophy of the Year 2025 for the project New occupational pension offering in group scheme. The initiative demonstrates great courage and a clear focus on the customer proposition and sales, while advancing LF’s entire pension business and paving the way for the broader transformation the company is undertaking.
The project is characterised by an outside-in approach, where demand from the regional companies, their advisers, and customers has been the driving force, rather than a focus on system replacement. This prioritisation – allowing actual sales and customer needs to set the pace – has given the project a clear commercial compass and ensured that the delivery addressed real needs from day one.
What is particularly impressive is the professional courage LF has shown by initiating the transformation in the most complex part of the business – occupational pensions with pension plans – rather than starting with simpler products such as unit-linked insurance or private pensions. Succeeding in this, with an ambitious timeline, sales starting in June 2025, and rollout across eight regional offices before the end of the year, is a clear demonstration of strength and capability. As the project team puts it: “We set an ambitious rollout plan that few believed could be achieved, and we have now completed the implementation according to plan.”
LF-Plan is not just a new product – it is a strategic enabler for LF’s future occupational pension business. The new offering has long been requested by LF’s advisers and has been very well received.
The project has created new opportunities for more efficient administration, lower costs over time, and a stronger customer experience, both for corporate customers managing their employees’ pensions and for the end customers themselves.
The collaboration between LF and Lumera has been characterised by open and direct communication, with continuous iteration of needs and solutions. The project was also delivered slightly under budget, further demonstrating the discipline and coordination that have defined the wor
With LF-Plan, LF demonstrates how transformation can be driven with a clear business focus and momentum, and how an organisation that chooses to take on the most complex challenges first also creates the best possible foundation for what comes next.
It is an achievement that deserves to be recognised.
The jury consisted of Per-Erik Gullnäs, Lars Mårtensson, and Martin Sandén.
