PP Pension, in collaboration with Lumera and Future Core Cloud (FCC), has successfully completed a large-scale transformation, resulting in the full implementation of Lumera’s administration platform. The project represents a significant step, enabling PP Pension to manage both defined premium and defined-benefit insurance within a single, unified environment.
The project addressed a complex challenge: bringing together multiple types of insurance, including individual, collective, plan, and group scheme insurance, into one platform. A key achievement was the introduction of support for defined benefit insurance, developed jointly by Lumera and FCC. This expands Lumera’s offering in the Swedish market and demonstrates the platform’s ability to handle a broader range of insurance products.
The project was delivered through close collaboration between PP Pension, Lumera, and Future Core Cloud (FCC). As a pilot project, it demonstrates strong alignment between client and suppliers, with a shared focus on long-term business value.
The transformation has resulted in a more digitalised and automated operating model, improving productivity, strengthening cost control, and supporting secure and compliant handling of insurance data. By consolidating all insurance products into one system, PP Pension is better positioned to manage regulatory requirements and support continued business development.
For customers, the implementation introduces enhanced digital capabilities through FC Portals, enabling greater self-service and improved access to insurance information. This creates a more efficient and accessible experience for both employers and policyholders.
The Once project also represents an important step forward for the industry. For the first time, Lumera’s platform supports both defined premium and defined benefit insurance in a unified SaaS-based solution, demonstrating how complex insurance portfolios can be managed within a single system environment.
Following a significant transformation, PP Pension now operates on a unified platform, enabling continued digitalisation and new business opportunities. The project demonstrates how close collaboration between client and suppliers can deliver long-term value, making it a strong candidate for Lumera’s Trophy of the Year award.
