A word from our CEO

Since our last newsletter, Lumera has taken meaningful steps to strengthen our role in supporting safe, modern pensions administration across the UK and other key markets.

We ended last year by expanding our UK presence through the acquisition of Acuity, bringing deeper expertise in public sector and government pension administration. This strengthens our ability to support providers, master trusts and public bodies with scalable, secure and future ready solutions.

Earlier this year, Lumera was named Pensions Technology Firm of the Year at the PensionsAge Awards 2026, reflecting the progress we are making together to modernise pensions administration. We also received the XCelent Award for Customer Base and Support, recognising the strength of our client relationships and our commitment to high quality service.

As regulatory expectations evolve, we have published several new insights. Our analysis of the UK’s Value for Money (VfM) reforms highlights the increasing limitations of legacy systems, while our perspective on trustee-led minimum standards for ISPs underlines the importance of strong governance in building a secure and resilient ecosystem.

Looking ahead, our article UK Pensions Administration 2030 outlines practical steps toward modern, automated and outcome driven administration, informed by lessons from Europe. We have also released a video discussing the new scheme member data quality guidance from the Pensions Regulator, and an article on why data matching will be essential for scheme readiness by 2030.

We also highlight an important industry milestone: The Lewis Workplace Pension Trust (TLWPT) has become the first UK master trust to migrate to Lumera’s platform. Their transformation demonstrates what scalable, automated administration can achieve and serves as an important benchmark for the wider market.

As we continue into the year, I want to thank you for your ongoing collaboration. Together, we are shaping a more modern, data driven and resilient future for pensions.

Wishing you a successful season ahead.

Jonas Alfredson
CEO, Lumera
